TISI (Thai Industrial Standards Institute) is the national standards organization and certification body in Thailand. There are two types of product certification schemes under TISI bearing different certification marks. They are the voluntary certification mark and the mandatory certification mark. The products subject to compulsory certification include electrical and electronic equipment, medical equipment, civil and construction materials, vehicles, agricultural products, mechanical products, food etc. Other categories of products generally require voluntary certification. The TISI compliance mark covers safety, EMC and energy efficiency requirements for specific products.

WHY the TISI CERTIFICATION IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR BUSINESS

The manufacturers or importers who want to sell the industrial products in the Thai Market need to apply for a TISI license if such products are under TISI compulsory standards. The application requires factory inspection and testing. These activities need to be performed by TISI authorized inspection bodies and laboratories only.
